Urban Treasures | 1875 Pembina Hwy, Winnipeg

Seasonal Position: October–December

Approximately 15–20 hours/week

Urban Treasures is a locally owned Winnipeg home décor, furniture, gift and plant boutique. Our store is colourful, creative and constantly changing, and we're looking for 1–2 Seasonal Retail Associates to join our team for the busy holiday season!

This is a temporary position running from October through December, with approximately 15–20 hours per week available.

Evening and weekend availability is required for this position, with additional hours potentially available during our busiest holiday periods.

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, has an interest in home décor and design, and can help create a fun, welcoming shopping experience during our busiest time of year.

What You'll Do

- Welcome customers and provide friendly, attentive customer service
- Help customers choose home décor, gifts, plants and accessories
- Offer decorating and styling suggestions when customers need guidance
- Help customers find great gifts during the holiday season
- Operate our Shopify POS and process customer purchases
- Restock merchandise and keep displays looking organized and inspiring
- Assist with receiving and organizing inventory
- Water, prune and care for houseplants
- Help with furniture assembly and moving merchandise when required
- Keep the store clean and organized, including regular sweeping, vacuuming,



dusting and general tidying
- Help with closing duties and keeping the store ready for the next day
- Jump in wherever needed during busy periods and work collaboratively with the rest of the team

Who We're Looking For You'd be a great fit if you:

- Are friendly, outgoing and comfortable approaching and assisting customers
- Have a genuine interest in home décor, decorating, furniture, plants or design
- Have solid customer service skills and enjoy working in a busy retail environment
- Are dependable, punctual and willing to take initiative
- Are comfortable staying busy and helping wherever needed
- Work well as part of a team
- Are consistently available evenings and weekends throughout October, November and December

Previous retail experience is preferred. Experience with home décor, furniture, visual merchandising, Shopify or houseplant care is a strong asset, but we're also happy to meet candidates who are enthusiastic and eager to learn.
