- In line with the Directive on Security Screening, to be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance, candidates must hold Canadian citizenship.
- To be eligible to obtain and maintain a TS-SCI security clearance, due to allied nation requirements which are beyond DND's control, candidates must not hold a citizenship outside of the Four-Eyes alliance (Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, or the United States).

Other Conditions of Employment:
- Strict adherence to the Department of National Defence and Canadian Forces Code of Values and Ethics, Values and Ethics Code for the Public Sector, Directive on Conflict of Interest, and Defence Administrative Orders and Directives (DAOD) 7021-1,Conflict of Interest.

Operational Requirements

One or more operational requirements may be required, depending on the position being staffed. - Level II facility security administration pertains to Physical Security requirements that must be carried out in Secret facilities to ensure compliance with all Policies and Regulations in order to ensure continued operation.
