Position Summary The HoneyBadger Team is looking for an Senior Accountanting Manager to join our high-performing team of professionals. We are looking for like-minded individuals who display grit, integrity, hard work, and an ability to think outside the box.

The Senior Accounting Manager will work closely with senior leadership and other members of the finance team to manage financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow, compliance, audits, and other key accounting functions. The successful candidate should be comfortable taking ownership of complex financial matters, identifying risks and opportunities, and developing practical solutions in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.

This role requires someone who can operate with a high degree of independence while effectively managing multiple priorities and collaborating across the organization. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, detail-oriented CPA with strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to translate financial information into clear and actionable recommendations for management.

Adaptability and initiative are essential. We are looking for someone who can improve existing processes, establish appropriate financial controls, and contribute to the continued growth and professionalization of the company’s finance function.

This role is fully on-site out of our downtown Vancouver office.

Position Responsibilities

- Oversee the company’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely financial records across all business activities.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including review of reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, intercompany transactions, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reporting packages in accordance with applicable accounting standards.




- Maintain oversight of the company’s general ledger and ensure appropriate accounting treatment for complex transactions, including cryptocurrency and digital asset activity.
- Oversee the reconciliation and accounting of fiat and digital asset balances across bank accounts, wallets, exchanges, custodians, and other platforms, ensuring financial records accurately reflect underlying assets and transactions.
- Oversee treasury and liquidity management, including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, fiat and digital asset liquidity requirements, and ensuring sufficient funds and assets are available to support ongoing operations.
- Analyze company performance, profitability, cash flow, operating expenses, and key financial metrics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities and providing recommendations to senior leadership.
- Partner with executive leadership on financial strategy, business planning, capital allocation, major expenditures, new initiatives, and other financial decisions.
- Develop financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate business opportunities, operational changes, investments, and growth initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, regulatory obligations, and financial reporting requirements relevant to the cryptocurrency and financial services industries.
- Coordinate and lead external financial statement audits, tax engagements, and other financial reviews, acting as a primary point of contact for external auditors, accountants, tax advisors, and other financial professionals.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting,



expense management, and other core accounting functions, providing review and approval where appropriate.

Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- CPA designation required, with in-depth knowledge of financial regulations, tax codes, and GAAP/IFRS standards.
- 7+ years experience in a senior accounting role.
- Proficiency in financial software, including advanced knowledge of Excel and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- High integrity, strong ethical values, and a commitment to financial transparency.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex financial operations, with a focus on strategic planning, financial reporting, and compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of cryptocurrency or fintech industries, with a track record of successful business expansion and partnership development.
- Demonstrable experience in strategic planning, risk management, and financial forecasting.
