Responsibilities

- Develop the detailed project plan in consultation with the project leadership team, produce the project plan, and obtain project sponsor approval.
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with established project management methodologies, standards, processes, and documentation aligned with Project Management Institute (PMI) best practices.
- Manage and deliver IT projects, ensuring adherence to governance processes, stage-gate approvals, audit requirements, reporting obligations, and established standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Establish, support, and facilitate project governance structures, including executive steering committees, to enable timely decision-making, stakeholder alignment, and issue and risk escalation.
- Facilitate ongoing stakeholder engagement and communication throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring stakeholders receive timely, accurate, and audience-appropriate information.
- Lead and execute organizational change management activities, including impact assessments, readiness assessments, training, and user adoption planning.
- Deliver project outcomes on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved scope, quality standards, and project objectives.
- Monitor, manage, and report on project performance, including scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and quality.
- Identify, assess, monitor, mitigate, and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Organize and facilitate workshops, meetings, presentations, and working sessions involving diverse stakeholder groups.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors, service providers,



and business partners to integrate their activities and deliverables into the overall project plan and implementation approach.
- Develop and manage project change requests related to scope, schedule, budget, and resources, including communicating impacts and obtaining the necessary approvals.

Qualifications

- Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification.
- 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager in IT project environments, with a proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage competing workloads under pressure.
- Demonstrated experience as a practicing Project Manager leading multiple, complex IT projects involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, and complex cloud integrations.
- Demonstrated experience delivering IT projects in a public sector workplace (government, Crown corporation, healthcare, education, or regulated public entity), including operating within formal governance, approvals, and audit requirements.
- Demonstrated experience operating within formal project governance structures, including executive steering committees, project boards, and decision-making forums, with executive-level reporting responsibilities and governance artifacts produced.
- Demonstrated experience planning, executing, and adapting stakeholder communications on complex IT projects involving diverse business, technical, vendor, and executive stakeholders.




- Demonstrated experience managing team resources, systems development, estimating effort and costs, and planning and scheduling project activities.
- Demonstrated experience creating and managing project management documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, change orders, and status reports.
- Experience integrating organizational change management practices into IT project delivery, including change activities, stakeholder readiness, communication planning, and training and adoption activities.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects using Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methodologies.
