WHO YOU ARE:

As a Senior IT Business Analyst, you play a key role in bridging business needs and technology solutions. You are analytical, proactive, collaborative, and highly organized, with the ability to independently lead initiatives from business needs through successful implementation.

You bring strong Business Analysis, systems analysis, stakeholder management, and project delivery skills. You are comfortable understanding business objectives, analyzing processes and systems, defining requirements, evaluating solutions, and working with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to deliver practical outcomes.

Every project is different, and that’s what makes this role exciting. Business Analysis is at the core of the role, but depending on the project’s scope and complexity, you may take on different levels of project delivery and leadership; from planning and coordinating activities to managing risks, dependencies, stakeholders, vendors, and implementation.

This makes the role hybrid by nature: you are not filling two separate roles but adapting your skills and level of ownership to what each initiative requires. You may focus primarily on requirements and solution design on one project, while taking a more active role in leading delivery on another.

You are a strong problem solver who works independently, manages competing priorities, drives decisions, and takes accountability for outcomes. You bring a continuous-improvement mindset and look for opportunities to improve processes, systems, user experiences, and business results.

As an IT Business Analyst, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Business Analysis & Solution Delivery

- Partner with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to understand business needs, objectives, pain points, and opportunities, translating them into practical technology solutions.
- Lead requirements gathering, stakeholder workshops, process analysis, gap analysis, and future-state design.
- Define and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and business rules.
- Evaluate solution options and facilitate discussions around impacts, dependencies, risks, trade-offs, and expected outcomes.

- Work closely with technical teams and vendors to ensure solutions align with business requirements and intended outcomes.
- Lead or support testing and UAT, including test scenarios, business validation, defect triage, and implementation of readiness.
- Support implementation, training, communications, change management, and post-go-live activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, system enhancements, integrations, and operational efficiencies.

Project & Delivery Depending on the scope, complexity, and requirements of the project, responsibilities may also include:

- Lead mid-sized IT projects or initiatives from initiation through implementation.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and action items.
- Coordinate activities across business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and external partners to keep deliverables on track.
- Facilitate project meetings, drive actions and decisions, and maintain stakeholder alignment.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and roadblocks, escalating significant matters to the Senior IT Program Manager as appropriate.
- Provide regular project status updates to the Senior IT Program Manager and relevant stakeholders.
- Support larger programs by owning specific workstreams, deliverables, or project activities.
- Coordinate implementation and go-live activities and support the transition to operational and support teams.
- Maintain accurate project, requirements, testing, process, and implementation of documentation throughout the initiative lifecycle.
- Take ownership of additional IT initiatives and priorities as required.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

- 5+ years of progressive experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, IT Project Delivery, or a similar IT role, with demonstrated experience independently leading IT initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology,

Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Strong experience with requirements gathering, business and process analysis, solution definition, testing, UAT, and implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into transparent business, functional, and technical requirements and practical technology solutions.
- Experience leading or contributing to mid-sized IT projects, with the ability to take on project delivery responsibilities based on the needs of the initiative.
- Experience with software implementations, system enhancements, integrations, and process improvement initiatives.
- Practical understanding of SDLC and Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Experience managing project activities such as planning, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, stakeholder communications, and vendor coordination.
- Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Visio, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, make decisions, and take ownership of deliverables and outcomes.
- Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
