Summary

Our client is a Series A cybersecurity startup scaling fast. They're looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to build the recruiting function from the ground up. This is a highly hands-on role: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing candidates directly across both technical and non-technical roles, while putting in place the early process and tooling the team will run on.

Responsibilities

- Own full-cycle recruiting day to day: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing

- Recruit across both technical and non-technical roles, from engineering to GTM and ops

- Build the early recruiting process from scratch: interview stages, scorecards, and workflows

- Set up and manage core tooling (ATS, sourcing platforms, scheduling)

- Partner closely with the founder to translate hiring needs into an active pipeline

- Source within relevant technical and security communities to reach passive candidates





- Track pipeline health and hiring metrics to keep hiring on pace with growth

- Help scale hiring volume as the company grows through hypergrowth

Requirements

- Experience recruiting hands-on in a startup environment, ideally as an early or founding hire

- Full-cycle recruiting experience across both technical and non-technical roles

- Comfort building process from scratch, not just running an existing playbook

- Experience recruiting in cybersecurity or other narrow, competitive talent markets

- Direct experience choosing and running recruiting infrastructure (ATS, sourcing tools)

- Solid communication and stakeholder management with founders and hiring managers

- Ability to operate at high volume and pace during periods of rapid headcount growth

Compensation & Equity

- $140-150k CAD base salary plus bonus, equity, and benefits
