LÚA Vietnamese Kitchen + Bar is a current modern Vietnamese restaurant opening in Lower Lonsdale, North Vancouver. We are looking for friendly, energetic, and reliable Servers to join our opening team.

Our menu combines Vietnamese favourites with a modern approach, including phở, bánh mì, rice and vermicelli dishes, share plates, cocktails, wine, and draft beer. We are looking for team members who genuinely enjoy hospitality, work well in a fast-paced environment, and can create a warm and memorable experience for every guest.

Responsibilities

- Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system
- Learn the menu thoroughly and confidently answer questions about ingredients, dishes, and beverages
- Recommend and upsell food, cocktails, beer, wine, and other menu items when appropriate
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining proper presentation standards
- Check in with guests regularly and respond promptly to requests or concerns
- Process bills, credit card payments, and cash transactions accurately
- Maintain clean and organized tables, dining areas, and service stations
- Work closely with the kitchen, bar, and other front-of-house team members to ensure smooth service
- Follow food safety, liquor service, sanitation,



and workplace safety standards
- Assist with opening, closing, side duties, and general restaurant upkeep as required

Qualifications & Skills

- Previous serving or restaurant experience is preferred
- Friendly, skilled, and confident communication skills
- Robust customer service and hospitality mindset
- Ability to stay organized and efficient during busy service periods
- Comfortable recommending and upselling menu and beverage items
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Experience using restaurant POS systems is an asset
- Knowledge or interest in Vietnamese food and culture is an asset
- Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Serving It Right certification is required for serving alcohol in BC
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Compensation: Hourly wage + tips

Pay: $18.25-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
