Job Overview

Alberta Direct Metal is growing and we're looking for another person to join our production team.

The primary focus of this position will be manufacturing metal roofing and siding flashings using our CNC folding brake, along with assisting with other shop production as required.

We're especially interested in someone with previous sheet-metal, brake, fabrication, roofing or metal-building experience who can get up to speed quickly.

What You'll Be Doing

- Manufacturing standard and custom metal flashings
- Operating a CNC sheet-metal folding brake
- Reading work orders, measurements and flashing drawings
- Measuring and checking finished products for accuracy
- Handling painted steel and other sheet-metal products
- Organizing completed orders for customers and deliveries
- Assisting with general production and shop duties as required
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organized work area

Experience We'd Love to See Previous experience with any of the following would be a major asset:

- CNC folding brakes or press brakes
- Sheet-metal fabrication
- Roofing or siding flashings
- Metal roofing and cladding
- Construction or metal-building systems
- Reading shop drawings and measurements

What We're Looking For

- Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with measurements
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to read a tape measure accurately




- Comfortable working with computers and CNC equipment
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced production workplace
- Willing to learn our products and manufacturing processes
- Able to work independently once trained

Previous experience is an asset, but we're also willing to consider someone with strong mechanical ability and the right attitude.

We're investing heavily in our manufacturing capabilities and are looking for people who want to grow with the company.
