Shop Assistant / General Service Support

At LAD’S Auto Repair, we operate much like a doctor’s office: our technicians, service advisors, managers, and support staff each have an important role, and we work together as a professional team to provide exceptional customer service.
Using proven industry systems and procedures, we inspect, maintain, and repair our clients’ vehicles while keeping them informed and educated about their vehicle’s needs. Our goal is easy: help our clients save time and money while providing honest, professional automotive service.
Our shop is equipped with modern tools, current technology, and computerized management systems. We service a wide variety of domestic and import vehicles, including cars, trucks, and some medium-duty vehicles—both new and old.
We are currently looking for a dependable, motivated, and hardworking Shop Assistant / General Service Support person to help keep our technicians and service team moving efficiently.
This is a hands-on position and is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and likes being around vehicles.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your day may include
- Shuttling customers to and from the shop
- Picking up and delivering automotive parts
- Washing and cleaning customer vehicles
- Maintaining and organizing shop equipment
- Helping keep the shop clean, organized, and professional
- Assisting technicians and service staff with general support duties
- Following shop safety standards and procedures
- Completing other duties as required to help the shop operate efficiently
Because this position involves regularly driving customer and company vehicles, a minimum of 5 years of driving experience is required. What We’re Looking For The right person will be dependable, professional, and willing to jump in wherever help is needed.
You should have
- Minimum 5 years of driving experience
- Valid driver’s licence
- Ability to provide a current driver’s abstract upon request
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of vehicles and automotive operations
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Windows and Office
- Strong English communication skills—written and verbal
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform physical work throughout the day
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy shop setting
- Ability to be bonded
