GENERAL LABOURER / CARPENTER’S HELPER
Sure-Form Contracting Ltd. is seeking hardworking and dependable individuals for full-time employment as General Labourers and Carpenter’s Helpers for an out-of-town construction project in the Lac La Biche region.
Preference will be given to local candidates.
This position is well suited to individuals with experience in commercial construction, concrete, formwork, carpentry support, or general construction labour who are comfortable working outdoors, performing physical work, and contributing as part of a site team.

The Role
As a General Labourer or Carpenter’s Helper, you will support our construction crews with a variety of site activities, including:
- Assisting carpenters with concrete formwork and general carpentry activities
- Formwork assembly, stripping, cleaning, and preparation
- Assisting with reinforcing steel, embeds, and concrete placement
- Concrete placement, finishing support, curing, and cleanup
- Material handling and site organization
- Using hand tools and power tools
- Assisting with layout, temporary works,
and general construction activities
- Operating light-duty construction equipment where qualified, including skid steers
- General site cleanup and housekeeping
- Supporting skilled trades and site supervision as required
- Following site-specific safety requirements and Sure-Form’s HSE program
Qualifications and Requirements The successful candidate should have:
- Previous commercial, industrial, concrete, formwork, carpentry, or general construction experience
- Experience working around concrete and formwork is considered a strong asset
- Five years of recent construction experience is preferred, although candidates with less experience and a strong work ethic will also be considered
- Ability and willingness to learn concrete, formwork, and carpentry methods
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Ability to take direction and work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move construction materials
- Familiarity with common hand tools and power tools
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong commitment to safety and Sure-Form’s safety culture
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
- Reliable transportation to the project site
Relevant safety certifications are considered assets, including:
- CSTS
- WHMIS
- First Aid
- Fall Protection
- Confined Space
- Other applicable construction safety training
