POSITION SUMMARY

AlumaGroup Highrise Solutions Inc. is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and enthusiastic General Labourer / Driver to support our shop, warehouse, delivery, and job-site operations.

The successful candidate must be physically capable of performing demanding work, have strong time-management skills, take pride in completing tasks safely and efficiently, and be willing to take on new responsibilities as required.

This position involves regular driving throughout the GTA and surrounding areas, transporting aluminum, glass, construction materials, tools, and equipment between our facility, suppliers, and active job sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Safely operate company vehicles for deliveries, pickups, and transportation of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload aluminum, glass, construction materials, tools, and other products safely and efficiently.
- Safely lift, carry, move, and handle materials weighing a minimum of 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Operate a vehicle while towing a trailer and safely perform trailer connection, disconnection, backing, parking, loading, and unloading.
- Properly secure all loads before transportation and confirm materials are stable and safe for travel.
- Inspect materials before loading and unloading and report any damage or discrepancies.
- Assist with general labour duties in the shop, warehouse, and on job sites.
- Assist shop and installation crews with material handling, organization, cleanup, preparation, and other duties as required.
- Maintain company vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.




- Perform basic vehicle and trailer safety checks before use and promptly report any concerns or maintenance requirements.
- Follow assigned delivery schedules and routes while maintaining good time management and punctuality.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures and applicable workplace and road-safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Communicate professionally with management, coworkers, suppliers, customers, contractors, and job-site personnel.
- Complete delivery documentation, packing slips, pickup confirmations, and other required paperwork accurately.
- Be versatile and willing to assist with new tasks, responsibilities, and roles as operational requirements change.
- Perform other related duties assigned by management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid Ontario G Class Driver’s Licence.
- Clean driving record / driver’s abstract.
- Previous professional or commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Previous experience driving a vehicle while towing a trailer is required.
- Comfortable safely backing up, parking, maneuvering, connecting, and disconnecting trailers.
- Ability to safely lift and carry 50 lbs or more.
- Experience loading, securing, transporting, and unloading materials safely.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Dependable, punctual, responsible,



and able to follow instructions.
- Enthusiastic attitude and strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction and manufacturing environment.

PHYSICAL & WORK REQUIREMENTS The position requires regular physical activity, including:
- Lifting and carrying materials weighing 50 lbs or more.
- Repetitive lifting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Loading and unloading vehicles and trailers.
- Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Working in a manufacturing/shop environment and on active construction sites.
- Wearing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Safely handling construction materials, tools, and equipment.

EXPECTATIONS The General Labourer / Driver is expected to demonstrate reliability, punctuality, professionalism, safety awareness, good judgment, and strong time management at all times. The employee must take reasonable care of company vehicles, trailers, tools, equipment, and materials and immediately report accidents, damage, safety concerns, traffic violations, or mechanical issues to management.

Because AlumaGroup operates in a fast-paced construction and manufacturing environment, employees are expected to be flexible and willing to assist in different areas of the business when reasonably required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
