We are seeking a proactive and dependable Snow Removal Specialist to ensure safe and accessible pathways during winter months. In this vital role, you will be responsible for clearing snow and ice from driveways, walkways, parking lots, and other outdoor areas to maintain safety and operational efficiency. Duties
- Operate snow removal equipment such as plows, blowers, shovels, and salt spreaders to clear snow and ice effectively
- Conduct routine inspections of outdoor areas to identify icy spots or snow accumulation that require attention
- Use hand tools and power tools for manual snow clearing where necessary
- Apply salt or other de-icing materials to prevent ice formation and improve traction
- Maintain and perform basic mechanical checks on snow removal equipment to ensure optimal functioning
- Assist with general landscape maintenance tasks during off-peak seasons, including gardening and horticulture duties
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents during snow removal operations
Qualifications
- Prior experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining snow removal equipment is highly desirable
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools for outdoor maintenance tasks
- Construction experience or background in outdoor maintenance is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in cold weather conditions for extended periods
- Strong attention to safety procedures and detail-oriented approach
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is preferred for operating larger equipment
