The North Shore Health Network provides rural healthcare for communities along the north shore of Lake Huron – including services in Blind River, Thessalon and Richards Landing. The North Shore Health Network sites have been serving their communities faithfully for many years providing emergency, acute, complex continuing care, long term care and community support services.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

· Effectively perform technical examination according to department and governing standards

· Is responsible for making clinical decisions, exercising judgement to ensure department protocol and patient safety is not compromised

· Supports current NSHN’s and departments standards and policies and relevant legislations/Acts.

· Participates in departmental Quality Assurance programs and is knowledgeable in the utilization and care of department equipment

· Identifies, develops, participates in, and maintains personal continuing education plan

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:





· Is registered and in valuable standing with CMRITO

· Successful completion of an approved Sonography Program

· Current liability insurance

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

· Exceptional time-management

· High Standards of ethics and confidentiality

· Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as a committed team member

ASSETS:

· Medical Radiation Technologist designation

· Bilingual – English/French

SALARY RANGE:

· $38.45 - $53.13/hr

BENEFITS:

· Eligible to join Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)

· 14% in lieu of benefit

· 6% vacation
