About the role Join the EPCMO (Enterprise Project and Change Management Office) team, in the Specialist, Change Management position. In this role, you will create and lead change management strategies that support the successful adoption of organizational, process, and technology changes across CMHC. Working closely with leaders, stakeholders, and project teams, you will drive employee engagement, readiness, and adoption.
As a trusted change management expert, you will develop and implement people focused solutions that maximize business benefits, strengthen organizational change capability, and support the successful delivery of strategic priorities.
This is a temporary position with a duration of 13 months.
What you will do:
- Contribute to the realization of business benefits and return on investment (ROI) by accelerating adoption, enhancing organizational change maturity, and ensuring leaders and employees are equipped to adapt to change in evolving environments.
- Partner with senior leaders and executives to strengthen sponsorship and commitment, while championing transformational initiatives to build change management competency and capability enterprise wide.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of initiatives, providing strategic advice, identifying risks and opportunities, and planning for effective sequencing and delivery of plans.
- Create strategies by conducting readiness and stakeholder impact assessments to design and implement effective change plans, in collaboration with project teams, to manage resistance by supporting leaders and employees through transitions.
- Create and deliver high- quality communications, and training/information sessions for diverse internal and external stakeholders to build understanding and acceptance.
- Measure effectiveness of tactics based on adoption, utilization, and proficiency.
- Collaborate and work within a dedicated change management team. Recommend on best practices to create standards and practices that will advance change management maturity across the organization.
- Build and lead networks of change champions and key stakeholders, fostering collaboration, engagement, and a culture that embraces continuous improvement.
What you should have:
- A university degree in Business, Finance, Social Sciences, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
- A minimum of five years of demonstrated expertise in leading technology, process, behavior,
and organizational/culture related projects that required quality change plans with proven and measurable results.
- Strong knowledge of change management principles and methodologies. Change management certification (Prosci preferred).
- Exceptional relationship-building, communication, facilitation, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong strategic and analytical abilities, including experience assessing business needs, measuring outcomes, and translating organizational objectives into actionable solutions.
- Solid project management and business analysis skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, identify risks, and deliver results in complex environments.
It will be great if you also had:
- Strong skills in MS PowerPoint, and knowledge of AI tools, to develop high- quality content in presentations.
- Compelling presentation skills with a passion to share knowledge with others.
- An agile mindset to be flexible and adaptable to different situations and stakeholder needs while maintaining a positive demeanor.
