Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Steel Framer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and installing steel frameworks that form the skeleton of commercial, industrial, and residential structures. Your expertise will ensure the structural integrity and safety of building projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble steel frameworks.
- Measure, cut, weld, and assemble steel components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Erect steel structures safely on-site by aligning, bolting, or welding components together according to specifications.
- Operate heavy equipment such as cranes or forklifts to lift and position steel materials efficiently.
- Coordinate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of framing tasks while maintaining safety standards.
- Conduct quality inspections of completed work, ensuring adherence to design specifications and structural integrity.
- Assist in site cleanup,



material handling, and preparation for subsequent construction phases.

Skills

- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical schematics related to steel framing.
- Experience with concrete forming, drywall installation, siding work, and general carpentry.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and woodworking tools effectively.
- Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and protected operation of heavy machinery such as cranes or forklifts.
- Ability to perform concrete finishing tasks and assist with restoration or renovation projects as needed.
- Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and ability to work at heights or in challenging environments.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and following detailed instructions.
