Overview:

KPC Power Electrical Ltd. is seeking a skilled Substation Electricians to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the installation, construction, and termination of medium and high-voltage systems, along with a deep understanding of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC). As a medium/high voltage electrician, you will be instrumental in constructing, terminating, and ensuring the safety and dependability of critical medium and high voltage electrical infrastructure.

What You'll Do

- Install, construct, terminate, and commission medium and high-voltage electrical systems and equipment.
- Lead and support the installation of transformers, switchgear, breakers, protection & control equipment, and associated substation infrastructure.
- Install and terminate medium and high-voltage power cables in accordance with applicable standards and specifications.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, and construction blueprints.
- Perform inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, compliance records, and field reports.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with OESC requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, technicians, and customers to successfully execute projects.

What You'll Bring

- Valid 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician Licence
- Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is considered an asset
- 5-10 years of electrical construction experience, preferably within substations, utilities, power distribution, or industrial environments
- Strong experience with medium and high-voltage cable installation, termination, and commissioning.
- Thorough understanding of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC)



and industry construction standards
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and construction drawings
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Commitment to safety excellence and quality workmanship
- Valid G-Class driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel to project sites and work in demanding field environments, including working at heights and lifting equipment over 50 lbs.
