Information about the Success Coach role:

The Success Coach (SC) is essentially a combination of a traditional Course Leader (teaching assistant) and Guidance Counselor. Each SC will be “assigned” to a group of 25-50 participants – in high enrollment programs, this would result in two or three SCs for the program, along with a Program Delivery Manager (PDM), who is a full-time Emeritus team member and who will serve as the primary administrative contact for both participants and SCs throughout the program.

This is a remote contractor role.

Responsibilities of the Success Coach include but are not limited to:

Each SC will play series of participant-facing roles throughout the course of the program, focusing primarily on the following:

- The Success Coach must have a solid overall command of the course content and be prepared to answer most clarification questions.
- The Success Coach will also be available as a first or second stop for administrative and procedural questions (the Emeritus PDM will be the primary resource here as well).




- The Success Coach will listen to participants’ ideas and concerns and will provide basic guidance in terms of electives and the overall program journey.
- The Success Coach will also serve as an advisor for student capstone projects, which will be completed during the core program.
- The Success Coach will host an average of one weekly live discussion session, with the primary aims of answering participant questions and leading guided discussions on a topic related to that week’s module.
- The Success Coach may be asked to moderate occasional guest-speaker live sessions, which may include ice-breaker activities, faculty speakers, career advisors, and industry practitioners.
- The Success Coach could be asked to grade selected assignments (program dependent), requiring marking assignments “complete” and provide basic comments and/or feedback when merited. Grading inputs will vary by assignment and by program.

Qualifications for the Role:

- Proven Experience as a CFO, CFO Advisor, or Financial Director.
- Proven experience in financial management.
- Familiarity with the course content (stemming from professional or academic experience)
- Effective Communication in a financial setting across functional roles and stakeholders.
- Proven experience applying financial concepts to matters in the whole organizational setting.
- Proven experience working with cost accounting, long-term cost analysis, budgeting, key financial terms, and concepts.
- Experience facilitating and teaching preferably in an online setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to listen effectively, respond appropriately, and maintain a mutual comfort level while working with a diverse population.
