THE OPPORTUNITY
As our Survey Project Manager - Edmonton , you will play a key role in the continued growth and success of our Edmonton operation.
You will
- Lead survey projects from planning and pursuit through execution and delivery
- Drive client satisfaction, operational excellence, and business growth
- Mentor and develop survey professionals at all stages of their careers
- Coordinate field and office resources for successful project delivery
- Provide strong technical leadership and hands-on problem solving
- Build lasting relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Work closely with LN leadership as the Edmonton operation continues to grow

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead by example in safety, professionalism, quality, and technical excellence
- Mentor, coach, and develop survey staff and field crews
- Foster a team-oriented,
accountable, and high-performing team environment
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and workforce planning
- Actively contribute to LN’s safety culture and HSE programs
Project & Operational Management
- Plan, coordinate, execute, and deliver survey projects on time and on budget
- Coordinate field crews, office resources, schedules, equipment, and project requirements
- Provide technical oversight, QA/QC, and troubleshooting support
- Resolve complex field, drafting, and data-processing challenges
- Maintain project documentation, resource readiness, and operational standards
Clients & Business Development
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Support proposals, estimates, pre-qualifications, and presentations
- Identify opportunities to expand services with existing and prospective clients
- Represent LN professionally in client meetings and industry settings
Technical Excellence
- Oversee construction and legal survey scopes with a strong focus on accuracy and quality
- Provide technical and drafting oversight using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center
- Ensure project deliverables meet LN standards, industry best practices, and client requirements
- Support data processing and comprehensive QA/QC processes
WHAT YOU BRING
- Post-secondary diploma in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in the geomatics/survey industry
- 3+ years of field survey supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong construction survey experience
- Proven experience managing survey projects and personnel
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center
- Strong knowledge of survey data processing and QA/QC
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean 5-year driver’s abstract
- Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a larger team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Professional designation is considered an asset but is not required.
Additional assets include
- CSTS, OSSA/BSO, First Aid, and H2S Alive
- Underground/utility locating experience
- UAV/RPAS Pilot certification
- Experience supporting business development and client relationship management

WORK CONDITIONS
This position is based in Edmonton, Alberta and includes a combination of office and field-based work. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and travelling to project sites as required.
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with weekends as required
Additional Pay: Bonus opportunities
