Your tasks
As a Technical Customer Service Coordinator, you will support the Technicial Services Supervisor in the coordination and follow-up of field service activities and job site operations. You will also be responsible for coordinating and monitoring service work orders (parts repairs and other service activities) carried out within the manufacturing facility.
Acting as a central point of contact, you will oversee logistics, equipment tracking, vendor coordination, job site documentation, and selected health, safety, and quality activities to ensure efficient and well-structured operations in the field.
Summary of tasks
Field Operations & Logistics Coordination
- Support the day-to-day organization of field service activities in collaboration with the Supervisor.
- Coordinate and provide access to drawings, technical documentation, and procedures applicable to field service assignments.
- Coordinate the transportation of equipment, trailers, cranes, and vehicles.
- Prepare and arrange the required materials and equipment.
- Coordinate the return of parts and equipment upon completion of field assignments.
- Travel to job sites as required.
- Support the Coordinator to ensure all technical information is complete and properly documented within service files.
In-House Service Operations & Logistics Coordination
- Support receiving personnel in identifying parts received from customers.
- Monitor in-house service work orders and ensure the appropriate stakeholders are involved to maximize efficiency throughout the repair process.
- Review and validate work orders prior to release for production.
- Coordinate customer feedback and communication regarding required repairs.
Vendors & Service Providers
- Identify, coordinate, and negotiate with local service providers and vendors (excavation, equipment rental, transportation, etc.).
- Verify invoice accuracy against work orders and ensure proper coding and processing.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Support the implementation and enforcement of health and safety standards on job sites.
- Maintain up-to-date health and safety records, required training certifications, and personal protective equipment (PPE) inventories.
- Participate in Health and Safety Committee activities as required and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate the maintenance, inspection, and certification of field equipment.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental work methods and processes.
- Recommend improvements based on field experience and established practices.
- Support the implementation of new tools, systems, and work methods in the field.
- Participate in the development and deployment of training plans.
Collaboration
- Maintain effective communication with the Supervisor, Team Leads, internal teams, and external partners.
- Work closely with the Engineering, Projects, Warehouse, and Service departments.
- Represent the company professionally in interactions with customers and stakeholders.
Your profile
Education & Qualifications
- Vocational Diploma (DEP) or equivalent relevant experience.
- Training in Industrial Mechanics.
- Training and/or experience in Project Management.
Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of products related to ropeway and cable transportation systems (asset).
- Understanding of maintenance methods, procedures, and practices, including regulatory and manufacturer requirements.
- Proficiency with standard computer applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Knowledge of the IFS software system (asset).
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in construction, field service, or project coordination.
- ASP Construction Health and Safety course certification (asset).
Other Requirements
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
