Lead the Math Success Program at Neighbour to Neighbour, fostering mathematical understanding in students. This part-time contract role requires availability Monday to Thursday, playing a key role in their after-school programs for grades 5-8.
In this essential facilitator role, you will enhance numeracy through structured activities and collaborative tutoring. Your responsibilities include mentoring volunteers and tracking participant progress, ensuring a responsive and effective educational workplace that caters to individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement math programming for youth grades 5-8
- Follow lesson plans to ensure engaging sessions
- Identify and adapt lessons for individual learning needs
- Mentor volunteer tutors and provide targeted support
- Collaborate on collecting participant data and feedback
Requirements:
- 2+ years in child/youth program facilitation
- Degree/diploma or ongoing studies in education or related fields
- Experience with diverse youth populations
- Current First Aid/CPR certification and driver's license
- Up-to-date vulnerable sector check
