Temporary Full time Clerk - Endocrinology and Metabolism (Riverside Campus) (Vacant)

Description

Join our dynamic team at the University of Ottawa Medical Associates (UMA) in the position of Temporary Full-Time Clerk in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Riverside Campus. The clerk will provide office administration and clerical support to the Division of Endocrinology.

Responsibilities

(This is not a complete list):

- Receive, upload, and close consults
- Enter appointment dates into EPIC (EMR)
- Upload and distribute incoming faxes on behalf of the administrative team.
- Provide support with clinical documentation and paperwork as workload permits.
- Supports the team with general administrative tasks to ensure efficient clinic operations

Qualifications
- Community College Diploma or equivalent;
- Certificate in medical terminology preferred;
- Good knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and Excel
- Experience booking appointments, consultations, procedures and filing patient reports;
- Meticulous attention to detail;
- Excellent communication skills – able to clearly express self to patients and provide specific instructions;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Proficiency in speaking and comprehending both English and French preferred.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills to coordinate multiple activities;
- Good judgment; able to identify when to seek supervisor’s assistance or advice;
- Strong problem-solving abilities;
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information;
- Initiative, tact, dedication, diplomacy and positive attitude;
- Highly dependable and thorough;
- Ability to work well with minimal supervision.
