Abilities Manitoba Provincial Training Coordinator

Job Title: Training Coordinator (Part-Time / Flexible)

Reports To: Executive Director

Employment Type: Permanent part-time, approximately 5–10 hours/week to start.

Position Summary The Training Coordinator is responsible to execute and scale-up the provincial training strategy, ensuring alignment with member needs. They manage the administrative side of Abilities Manitoba's training program, from registration through to certificate issuance, so that facilitators can focus on delivery. This role owns the day-to-day execution of training and works closely with the Finance team on invoicing.

Given the technology this role depends on (Hi-Events, Mailchimp, payment processing), strong technical comfort is essential. Strategic thinking, curriculum development and supervision skills are also essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute and scale up a provincial plan to offer training across Manitoba
- Ensure strategy, phases and execution align with member needs and feedback
- Vet and onboard new trainers and curriculum, identifying the fit within the needs and strategy
- Design and implement a succession plan for each training area
- Manage training registrations in Hi-Events, including fee collection and confirmation emails
- Coordinate invoicing with Finance, applying correct member vs. non-member pricing and tracking refunds and credits
- Oversee and evaluate training team
- Send pre-training reminders and prepare materials; gather attendance from sessions
- Issue certificates and feedback surveys after each session; maintain the training email list
- Maintain and distribute training policies and pricing via Mailchimp,



including the separate member and non-member lists
- Maintain the FAQ page, trainer bios, testimonials content and other information as needed
- Maintain SOPs for the registration-to-certificate workflow and flag/address process gaps to the supervisor
- Track actual revenue against the Fee Schedule/Revenue projections and report variances to the supervisor
- Ensure contract obligations and reporting requirements are met for grants and funding

Required Qualifications
- Strong technical comfort is non-negotiable: this role is built on Hi-Events, Mailchimp, our website and related tools, and the person must be able to learn new software independently and troubleshoot basic issues without supervision.
- Administrative or coordination experience, ideally in a nonprofit, education, or events environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise trainers
- Strong attention to detail, especially around payment tracking and invoicing accuracy
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of people’s and organizational information
- Experience in, or willingness to learn, the disability services sector and value base an asset

Conditions of Employment
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Clear Adult and Child Abuse Registry checks
- Three references, at least two employment-related, including the current or most recent employer
- Six-month probationary period, with a one-month check-in with the supervisor

Pay: $30.00-$34.00 per hour Expected hours: 5.0 – 10.0 per week
