Overview

Seeking a skilled and dedicated Transport Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of transport truck and at times chassis repairs to ensure safe and efficient operations. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on transport trucks and trailers.
- Conduct welding and fabrication work to repair or modify equipment as needed.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely to complete repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs for all vehicles.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate industrial equipment to ensure protected handling of large components.




- Collaborate with team members to ensure all repairs meet quality standards and are completed within scheduled timelines.

Skills

- Strong knowledge of automotive repair principles with hands-on experience in heavy-duty truck and trailer maintenance.
- Skilled in welding, fabrication, and the use of power tools to perform complex repairs.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools for assembly and maintenance tasks.
- The ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members or administration.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during maintenance procedures.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
