The Treatment Center Manager provides overall leadership and operational oversight of an Indigenous-based, medical clinical detox and wellness program. This role ensures services are delivered in a culturally safe, trauma-informed, and community-driven manner that supports individuals on their healing and recovery journeys.
The Manager leads day-to-day operations within a medical detox environment, integrating Indigenous knowledge, land-based and cultural practices, and evidence-informed approaches to wellness. Working closely with Elders, Knowledge Keepers, staff, and community partners, the Manager ensures compliance with provincial guidelines and funding requirements while upholding Indigenous values and self-determination.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Service Delivery
- Oversee daily operations of the non-medical clinical detox and treatment program
- Ensure services are culturally safe, trauma-informed, and client-centered
- Integrate Indigenous cultural practices, ceremonies, and teachings into programming
- Ensure appropriate non-medical detox protocols, safety plans, and client support processes are followed
- Coordinate intake, referrals, and discharge planning with community partners
Staff Leadership & Supervision
- Recruit, supervise, mentor, and support program staff (support workers, counsellors, cultural staff)
- Ensure training in trauma-informed care, harm reduction, crisis response, and cultural safety
- Develop staffing schedules to ensure 24/7 safety and support as required
- Foster a respectful,
supportive, and culturally grounded workplace
Client Safety & Risk Management
- Maintain policies and procedures to ensure client safety in a non-medical detox setting
- Respond to incidents and emergencies in accordance with established protocols
- Ensure accurate documentation, incident reporting, and follow-up
- Maintain explicit referral pathways to medical and emergency services
Administration & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with funding agreements, provincial guidelines, and organizational policies
- Oversee program documentation, data collection, and reporting
- Prepare operational reports for leadership, funders, and the Board
- Support quality improvement and program evaluation initiatives
Community & Partnership Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with First Nations, Métis organizations, and urban Indigenous partners
- Collaborate with health, housing, justice, and social service providers
- Work respectfully with Elders and Knowledge Keepers to guide program development

Pay: $25.03-$44.19 per hour
