Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to provide support in our veterinary practice. Preference will be given to applicants with prior veterinary and/or laboratory experience. The successful candidate will support veterinarians and team members in providing exceptional care to animals and clients.

Duties

- Assisting veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgeries
- Pending qualifications, anesthesia and radiology duties
- Preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment
- Restraining animals safely during procedures and examinations
- Administering medications as directed by the veterinarian
- Collecting samples for laboratory testing and maintaining accurate records
- Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, treatment areas, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards




- Providing compassionate care and reassurance to animal patients and their owners
- Managing appointment schedules and assisting with client communication as needed

Experience

- Previous veterinary experience is strongly desirable; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Laboratory experience is considered an advantage but is not mandatory
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners
- Ability to learn quickly and work well within a team in a fast-paced environment
