Here at East Mountain we have assistants for both areas of our hospital. Exam Room Assistants have the unique blend of several job aspects in the clinic. You are paired with one doctor for the day and go through the day assisting the appointment and patients needs.

Outlined Duties including but not limited to:

- Greet clients and patients in the waiting room to bring into your exam room
- Take a detailed history from the client using Avimarks check in template
- Assist veterinarians in providing care and treatment to animals
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for procedures
- Restrain animals during examinations and procedures
- Prepare medications and vaccines as directed by veterinarians
- Collect and prepare laboratory samples for testing for the technician
- Clean and sanitize examination rooms, equipment, and kennels
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment
- Check out clients in the exam room
- Utilize programs such as Weave, Slack, and Deputy

Experience Required
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital is preferred
- Knowledge of basic animal care and handling techniques
- Familiarity with common veterinary medications and vaccines
- Veterinary Assistant post secondary schooling
