Responsibilities
- Load and unload shipments using heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and other heavy machinery
- Perform order picking with precision to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory movement and update records in real-time
- Conduct shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming and outgoing goods against documentation
- Utilize construction experience and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance
- Ensure safe handling of heavy lifting tasks while adhering to safety protocols
- Assist with inventory management, including stock organization, cycle counts, and load balancing
Requirements
- Prior warehouse experience with a solid understanding of warehouse distribution processes
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance
- Experience with order picker machines, forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a rapid-paced environment
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and best practices
- Construction or industrial experience is a plus but not required
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
