We are presently seeking a Water Operator level III (WTP) to join us in the Edmonton area (AB). AQUATECH is looking for an individual who is seeking a career with our rapidly expanding company, and is eager to learn.

Working under the guidance of the supervisor, you're responsible for conducting the daily operation and maintenance of the Water Treatment Plant. This position will report to the Superintendant.
The main responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Carry out the daily operation (regulatory monitoring and reporting process adjustments, chemical transferring and maintenance) of the facilities
Provide operational support & troubleshooting for plant operations
Maintain required inventory and inventory control of critical spare parts, chemicals, & consumables
Create maintenance requests
Monitor Lift Stations as required
Complete and compile data of daily inspections, monitoring, and sampling as required
Perform maintenance tasks as requested by the supervisor
Perform laboratory analysis and reporting
Preparation weekly, monthly, annual reports as required
Provide training and mentorship to plant operational staff
Participate in required meetings (in-person & remotely)
Participate, enforce, and comply with all aspects of the company's health and safety program
Hours of Work The Operator position will be a 8/6 day rotation (8 days off, 6 days off), 8 to 10 hrs/d.
Qualifications
Be a Canadian citizen
Current WTP Level III min (proof of certification is required);
Ability to lift 25 kg (55lb);
Intermediate to advanced mechanical knowledge;
Excellent problem solving skills;
Strong independent worker and team player
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Proven ability to supervise and communicate with staff members
Positive attitude and able to promote a positive image of AQUATECH.
