Yard Supervisor / Loader Operator

Location: Leduc, Alberta

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., with some overtime as required

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Yard Supervisor / Loader Operator to join our metal processing facility in Leduc, Alberta. This hands-on position oversees yard operations, material handling, and equipment use to support productive steel processing and shipping.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily yard activities, including material movement, loading/unloading, and inventory organization
- Operate and maintain loaders and forklifts safely and efficiently
- Load and secure materials onto trucks and trailers for transport
- Drive truck and trailer as required for material movement and deliveries
- Organize and stage steel plate and other materials (plasma/laser-cut plate experience is an asset)
- Perform routine equipment inspections, basic maintenance, and report issues promptly
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard environment
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
- Support production and shipping teams as needed

Requirements
- Proven experience as a yard supervisor, loader operator, or similar role in a heavy industrial or metal processing environment




- Strong familiarity with forklift operation and maintenance
- Strong familiarity with loader operation and maintenance
- Metal processing experience preferred; experience organizing steel plate (including plasma or laser-cut plate) is an asset but not required
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract
- Comfortable and competent driving truck and trailer
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an outdoor industrial setting
- Strong attention to safety, detail, and efficiency
- Physically capable of performing the demands of the role (lifting, climbing, working in all weather conditions)

Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Some overtime required
- Competitive wages based on experience & skill-set

Work Location: In person – Leduc, AB T9E 0B3 (Must be able to reliably commute)
