Maintenance plays a critical role in the operation, safety and overall condition of our hotel.

We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail and genuine pride in the quality of their work. This position requires someone who takes responsibility for their duties, follows tasks through to completion and understands that repairs should be done properly—not simply quickly. Reliability, initiative and a high standard of work are essential for this role. This is not an entry-level maintenance position. We are looking for someone who knows their stuff, can identify problems, troubleshoot effectively, and complete repairs properly and safely without requiring constant direction. Hotel maintenance is varied. On any given shift, you may be troubleshooting an HVAC issue, repairing plumbing, patching and painting a guest room, maintaining the pool, inspecting equipment, addressing an exterior issue, or responding to an urgent guest request. We need someone who can come in, assess what needs to be done, prioritize the work and get it done properly.

The successful candidate must:

- Have solid hands-on maintenance and repair experience.
- Be knowledgeable in basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall and general building repairs.
- Be mechanically inclined and capable of troubleshooting problems rather than simply identifying them.
- Be able to work independently without constant supervision.
- Understand that guest-related maintenance concerns require prompt attention and take priority.

- Take preventative maintenance seriously and address small problems before they become larger ones.
- Be organized and maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
- Be dependable, punctual and prepared to work.
- Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with guests, staff, management and outside contractors.
- Follow all workplace health, safety, fire and emergency procedures.
- Be comfortable performing physical work, including lifting, bending, climbing ladders and working both indoors and outdoors.
- Take pride in their work and leave repairs and work areas clean and properly finished.

This position requires initiative, accountability and good judgment. We need someone who notices what needs attention and takes appropriate action rather than waiting to be told.

Main Duties and Tasks:

- Implementation of preventative maintenance program
- Guest room repairs including but not limited to painting, plumbing, HVAC.
- Follow all fire and safety and emergency procedures.
- Logging of maintenance calls and requests
- Ensure all types of equipment are checked regularly for proper and productive operation.

Regular tests of fire prevention system.

- All guest requests are given priority.
- Daily lighting inspection
- Swimming pool and chemical maintenance.
- Monitor any external or 3rd party vendor maintenance jobs.
- Waste disposal/ recycling.
- Maintenance of lot and exterior grounds.
