Allto Construction is actively recruiting an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our civil construction team.

Our current priority is finding a qualified excavator operator with strong residential excavation and grading experience. The right person can work independently from plans and elevations to complete basement excavation, lot grading and the surrounding site work accurately and efficiently. We are also interested in experienced civil and dozer operators. This is a full-time, in-person field position based from Orangeville, with projects typically located within one hour of Orangeville.

Operators We Are Looking For

- Excavator operators experienced in residential excavation, basement and foundation excavation, backfilling and lot grading.
- Operators who can independently read plans and elevations, plan the work and complete the required site work.
- Excavator operators with civil construction and Trimble Earthworks experience.
- A-grade dozer operators with Trimble Earthworks experience.
- Versatile operators experienced in excavation, underground servicing, grading and site development.

What We Offer

Key Responsibilities

- Operate excavators, dozers and other heavy equipment safely and productively.
- Excavate basements and foundations accurately to the required dimensions and elevations.
- Complete residential site excavation, backfilling, driveway preparation,



rough grading and final lot grading.
- Plan and complete assigned site work independently from drawings, elevations and project requirements.
- Complete civil excavation, grading, backfilling and site-development work.
- Work accurately from construction drawings, grades, stakes, lasers and machine-control systems.
- Coordinate movements and production with foremen, pipelayers, labourers and truck drivers.
- Complete daily equipment inspections.
- Report maintenance, damage and safety concerns promptly.
- Keep assigned equipment clean, lubricated and properly fuelled.
- Protect existing services, completed work and surrounding property.
- Assist with other reasonable site duties when required.

What We Are Looking For

- Demonstrated excavator operating experience in residential excavation, grading or civil construction.
- Proven ability to dig basements, complete lot grading and deliver residential site work from plans and elevations.
- Ability to organize and complete assigned work independently without constant supervision.
- Strong understanding of grades and the ability to read construction plans.
- Trimble Earthworks or comparable machine-control experience is a robust asset.
- Experience operating excavators or dozers around underground services.
- Good judgment, smooth operating habits and pride in equipment care.
- Ability to work independently while supporting the overall crew.
- Dependable attendance and a safety-focused attitude.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Common Core and Worker Health and Safety Awareness training are assets.
- Valid Ontario G licence and reliable transportation.
