This role is critical in our engineering team, reporting to the Engineering Manager. You'll develop Welding Procedure Specifications and maintain Qualification Records while programming robotic welding cells to enhance production efficiency. Your ability to thrive in a resource-conscious environment will help drive quality improvements across operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct welder certification testing and documentation
- Develop and manage Welding Procedure Qualification Records
- Optimize robotic weld cells in coordination with technicians
- Train associates on effective welding procedures
- Support Lean Manufacturing practices and continuous improvements
Requirements:
- Technical qualification in welding with a minimum of a 2-year degree
- 3–5 years of fabrication manufacturing experience
- Certified Welder (CW) or Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
- Solid knowledge of GMAW and GTAW welding processes
- Proficient in interpreting blueprints and technical documentation
