We are looking for highly motivated individuals who have a passion for working outdoors, an ability to work in a team environment, and a strong interest in the development and maintenance of green spaces.Contract dates : May-August 2026Work arrangement : in-person, at Parc Downsview Park in downtown TorontoHours : full time, Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PMKey ResponsibilitiesMaintain and install ornamental gardens and seasonal planters, which includes watering, weeding, deadheading, and pruningAssist in the restoration of a 2-acre perennial garden bedPark sanitationProvide staff support for outdoor events and stewardship activitiesAdditional tasks in other areas of park operations arise occasionally (i.E. turf care, urban orchard, urban arboriculture & forestry, park infrastructure)QualificationsPost‑secondary full‑time student/graduate in programs or accreditations related to horticulture, landscaping, or permacultureMust have a current knowledge of the Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety ActMust possess and maintain a valid G licenseAbility to work daily from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, including evening and weekend shifts as requiredPrevious park labour or related experiences would be considered an assetGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to deal with the public using tact and courtesyA team player that embraces a collaborative approach to problem solvingAbility to work independentlyThis is a full‑time, contract position with a salary range of $19 - $20 per hour.
