This position at The Salvation Army’s Winter Drop-in Center focuses on assisting clients facing crises in a stable environment. You will provide essential support, monitor client activities, and ensure adherence to program policies. The work setting may involve handling sensitive situations and requires a commitment to helping marginalized individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide compassionate support to clients in crisis • Monitor activities and needs of individuals in the center • Document incidents and enforce program policies as needed • Prepare meals and assist with kitchen duties when required • Participate in relevant training sessions for skill development
Requirements: • High school completion is mandatory • Experience in Social Service work or Mental Health is preferred • Willingness to undergo Narcan/Naloxone training • Strong communication skills and ability to de-escalate conflicts • Understanding of professional boundaries with vulnerable populations
