Senior IT Business Analyst

to support a major Portfolio Management and Digital Transformation initiative. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst with strong experience in

Portfolio Management, Microsoft 365 solutions, business process improvement, Power Platform, executive reporting, and enterprise-wide technology implementations . The successful candidate will play a key role in improving and modernizing portfolio management practices by helping design, build, test, implement, and support centralized digital tools and processes. The Senior IT Business Analyst will support an enterprise-wide initiative focused on strengthening

Digital Portfolio Management and modern ways of working . The role will help improve how organizations manage technology resources, prioritize initiatives, govern projects and products, and process new/unplanned work requests. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, portfolio leaders, subject matter experts, technology teams, and senior management to translate business needs into practical digital solutions. A major focus will be on leveraging

Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Power Platform technologies

to build scalable applications, workflows, reporting solutions, and dashboards that can be adopted across a large employee population. Key Areas of Focus

The successful candidate will contribute to the development and rollout of digital portfolio management capabilities across areas such as: Resource Capacity Management Resource Demand Planning Project/Product Governance and Stage Gating New Work Intake (NWI) Portfolio Reporting and Performance Management Executive-Level KPI Reporting Digital Process Improvement Key Responsibilities :

Lead and support business analysis activities for complex enterprise technology and business initiatives. Engage with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand business needs, challenges, processes, and desired outcomes. Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, interviews, workshops, and working groups. Analyze, document, validate, and prioritize business and data requirements. Translate business requirements into functional specifications and technology-enabled solutions. Assess existing portfolio management processes and identify opportunities for

process optimization, automation, standardization, and improved governance . Design and document end-to-end business processes, workflows, business rules, and operational procedures. Develop

swim lane diagrams, process maps, data flows, use cases, and supporting documentation . Support the design and implementation of digital applications and tools using

Microsoft 365 and Power Platform . Build,



test, implement, and support enterprise solutions using tools such as

PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, and Excel . Support application testing, defect resolution, user validation, deployment, and enterprise-wide rollout activities. Develop user guides, job aids, training materials, presentations, and other adoption resources. Work with stakeholders to support successful implementation and change management. Develop portfolio-level metrics, KPIs, performance measures, and reporting requirements. Design and maintain

executive-level Power BI dashboards

with appropriate data models, drill-down capabilities, and reporting views. Monitor delivery progress, identify issues and risks, and communicate updates to management and stakeholders. Develop requirements traceability, KPI frameworks, and other business analysis governance artifacts. Prepare presentations, briefing materials, recommendations, and executive-level reporting. Support portfolio governance, prioritization, and decision-making processes. Work collaboratively with project teams, technology teams, business units, and leadership throughout implementation. Support knowledge transfer and ensure that project documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained. Required Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have: 7+ years of progressive Business Analysis experience , preferably in complex enterprise or public-sector environments. Demonstrated experience working within

Portfolio Management , particularly resource management, resource capacity planning, prioritization, and new work intake. Robust experience developing

executive-level reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and portfolio metrics . Hands-on experience building and implementing technology solutions for a

large user population or enterprise-wide environment . Expert-level knowledge of

Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Power Platform , including: PowerApps Power Automate Power BI SharePoint Excel Strong understanding of business process analysis, process redesign, workflow optimization, and requirements engineering. Experience gathering and translating complex business and data requirements into technology solutions. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Demonstrated experience working with multiple business groups and organizational stakeholders. Strong

change management and adoption

capabilities. Experience supporting application testing, implementation, deployment, training, and post-implementation support. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines. The successful candidate should be comfortable working across a range of Business Analysis techniques, including:

The following would be considered strong assets: Experience supporting

public-sector or healthcare organizations . Experience with portfolio governance and enterprise technology operating models. Experience using

Microsoft Copilot or other AI-enabled tools

to improve business processes and productivity. Experience developing business cases and conducting cost-benefit analysis. Experience working within structured

Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies . Knowledge of project management methodologies, enterprise architecture practices, and technology governance frameworks. Experience developing strategies, recommendations, briefing notes, and executive presentations. Experience supporting large-scale organizational change and technology adoption. The Senior IT Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of digital portfolio management capabilities, including: Requirements definition and validation Solution design and configuration support Testing and user validation Implementation and rollout Post-implementation support Governance & Gating

Development and enhancement of digital tools supporting project/product governance. Process documentation and workflow development. Supporting governance and approval processes. New Work Intake

Design and improvement of digital intake processes. Requirements gathering and workflow development. Support for prioritization and evaluation of new/unplanned work. Resource Management

Support for resource capacity and demand planning processes. Validation of business requirements and supporting workflows. Development of process documentation and operational procedures. Reporting & Analytics

Development of portfolio KPIs and performance measures. Data modelling and reporting requirements. Creation of executive-level

Power BI dashboards . Development of dashboard drill-downs and reporting views. Training & Knowledge Transfer

Creation of job aids and training documentation. Support for demonstrations and stakeholder walkthroughs. Knowledge transfer to internal teams. Maintenance of project and process documentation. What We're Looking For
