MacEwan University is seeking a Senior Enterprise Solutions Analyst for a full-time continuing opportunity with Information Technology Services. The Senior Enterprise Solutions Analyst acts as a technical liaison between developers and business stakeholders and is responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements related to enterprise applications and systems and producing detailed technical design specifications to address specific business needs. The role focuses on enterprise applications supporting admissions, enrolment, student records, curriculum management, academic scheduling, and related student services functions. Specializing in enterprise platforms that support the student lifecycle, academic scheduling, and institutional operations, this role provides analysis and solution design expertise for systems including PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Infosilem Academic, Infosilem Campus, and associated integrations and third-party applications. The position works closely with stakeholders across the University, including the Office of the University Registrar and other administrative and academic business units to ensure technology solutions effectively support institutional processes and strategic objectives. When Functional Analysts or Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) encounter complex system challenges that go beyond standard configuration capabilities or require deeper technical expertise, the Senior Enterprise Solutions Analyst will take ownership of the request. Acting as a bridge between business users and IT teams, the Senior Enterprise Solutions Analyst evaluates escalated issues, determines whether custom development or integration is required, and ensures solutions align with both operational needs and technical feasibility.



This role is also key in communicating requirements to either an internal development team or third-party developers for effort estimation and execution. As a key member of the Enterprise Applications team, the Senior Enterprise Solutions Analyst communicates requirements to internal development teams and third-party solution providers, supports effort estimation and roadmap planning, and helps ensure the long-term sustainability, reliability, and effectiveness of the university's enterprise student systems workplace. Key responsibilities include: Conducting gap analysis between current and desired system functionalities; Analyzing and documenting business processes related to admissions, enrolment, student records, curriculum management, academic scheduling, and related institutional operations; Reviewing the existing IT environment to assess available technologies and determine necessary solution developments; Utilizing industry best practices to develop scalable and robust IT solutions, including system specifications, architecture diagrams, and wireframes; Developing solution prototypes and process models to validate requirements and gather stakeholder feedback; Providing technical expertise to business leaders and ITS members regarding system implementation and usage; Remaining current with technology and industry trends and best practices; researching, analyzing, and evaluating applicability and feasibility of new technologies, changes or enhancements to current technologies, and effects of new methodologies; Translating business requirements into technical specifications and collaborating with developers to implement solutions; and Developing and executing change management strategies for system integration initiatives. Skills

You will have: A strong understanding of both business processes and technical systems; Proven experience with business analysis methodologies, frameworks, and tools; Solid knowledge and experience in requirements gathering, business process modeling, solution design, process improvement, and advanced data analysis; The ability to foster a collaborative and supportive environment that encourages innovation, teamwork and the sharing of knowledge; Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including relationship management and active listening; Strong negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to set and manage customer expectations; Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with a proactive approach; Strong analytical skills for system analysis and design with keen attention to detail; Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders; The ability to balance competing priorities and manage complex initiatives; The ability to work effectively within a team workplace; Strong understanding of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Infosilem Academic, Infosilem Campus, Slate, and other enterprise software solutions supporting student administration and academic operations; and Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL,



Excel and/or Power BI. Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analysis or a related field; A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in enterprise solution analysis, software development, IT system design, or related roles; Experience with software development, systems integration, and technical architecture; Experience with process mapping, workflow design, and requirements gathering; Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, including Admissions, Campus Community, Curriculum Management, Student Records, Academic Advisement, and related student administration processes; Knowledge of Infosilem Academic, Infosilem Campus, CourseLeaf CAT/CIM, and Slate would be considered assets; Knowledge of SQL and the Campus Solutions database structure; Knowledge of PeopleSoft Development Tools (Application Designer, PeopleCode, SQR) would be considered an asset; Experience analyzing and supporting integrations between PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and third-party enterprise applications; Knowledge of cloud-based enterprise solutions and modern IT frameworks; Experience within a post-secondary institution would be considered an asset; and An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Position Requirements

The position may be required to participate in the ITS on-call schedule for after-hours support. The position may be required to work outside of normal operational hours (i.e., evenings and weekends) to support urgent issues if they arise.
