The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is on the lookout for professional Community Peace Officers dedicated to enforcement and public trust. In this role, you will address concerns related to municipal bylaws, lead investigations, and engage in community patrols. Your strong investigative skills and ability to maintain professionalism during stressful scenarios will be essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to complaints and initiate investigations • Enforce animal control and environmental regulations • Compile records and detailed reports consistently • Provide education on municipal bylaws • Mentor new colleagues and participate in community events
Requirements: • High School Diploma with 4 years law enforcement experience • Community Peace Officer appointment from Alberta Solicitor General • Emergency First Aid certification required • Ability to work wide-ranging shifts and conditions • Must maintain an RCMP enhanced reliability security clearance
