This position is within a UBC-affiliated tertiary care teaching hospital where you will work in a cutting-edge Clinical Services Building (CSB). The CSB houses a up-to-date electrophysiology lab, allowing for advanced EMG, EEG, and polysomnography services. Subspecialty interests in areas like MS and stroke are a plus, fostering an enriching environment. You'll be part of a collegial team that includes neurosurgeons, hospitalists, and various other specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive care within the Stroke/Rehabilitation unit • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary medical team • Employ modern diagnostics in electrophysiology • Manage cases in the Urgent Neurology/Stroke Clinic • Participate actively in patient assessments and care
Requirements: • Medical degree with specialization in neurology • Experience or interest in EMG, EEG, or polysomnography • Willingness to work collaboratively in a team setting • Valid medical license for British Columbia • Potential for permanent role after locum period
