Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGA)Strong computer skillsExperience with Microsoft Office suite of programsKnowledge of CADD systemsAlberta Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalentResponsibilities:Develop designs and calculate volumes as required for integrated mine and tailings plansCreate and present plans and stewardships on productivity, geological and geotechnical risks, water management, mining rates and equipment capabilities with originalityConduct field tours and observations as needed to monitor plan executionCommunication with Operations and field personnel to support plan execution as requiredDevise new approaches and apply current processes in new ways every single dayAnalyze technical data and draw conclusions from comparative situationsIndependently plan and conduct projects to improve mine efficiency as requiredBe a dedicated role model for safety policies, procedures and practicesPlan and organize work for the reclamation and sustainability of our growing operationsLocation and other Key details:Positions are located in Fort McMurray, ABOur engineering roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of workIf you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory.
