Role OverviewReporting to the Site Services Supervisor, the Heavy Equipment Operator (Infrastructure) is responsible for storage area maintenance, equipment operation, and materials handling.Primary ResponsibilitiesInspection of equipment before and after use to ensure proper functionalityLoading, unloading, and moving materials to appropriate storage areasExcavation of trenches for buried servicesFollowing all safety procedures while operating equipmentPerforming regular maintenance (refuelling, fluid checks, lubrication) and minor repairs when necessaryReporting equipment issues, unusual conditions, and spillage immediately to SupervisorStaging materials to be brought down for Underground OperationsEmptying garbage binsMaintaining positive housekeeping at storage areasSnow removal during winter monthsOther activities as assignedSkills, Knowledge, Qualifications And ExperiencePossess a valid Canadian driver’s license and clear driver’s abstractMinimum 5 years’ experience as heavy equipment operator (excavator, loader, and forklift)Slinging and rigging trainingAbility to identify difference between normal wear, unusual wear and damageKnowledge of WHMIS, including familiarity with chemical products’ use, disposal and safety data sheet applicationsCompleted secondary school or GEDA commitment to health, safety, environment, and communityWorks effectively independently and collaborativelyAbility to thrive in an environment of change; must be creative and flexibleWorking ConditionsRotational shifts,
