Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay range$95,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yrRole OverviewThe Senior Internet Investigator is responsible for conducting detailed anti-piracy investigations of key operators and global targets involved in copyright infringement, including individuals and organizations.Candidates should have expertise in OSINT and attribution methods, including social media research. An advanced work ethic, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently are essential.The ideal candidate should be passionate about inspiring and collaborating with their team, be proactive, and committed to developing team skills.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct complex investigations of key players and develop investigative plans to identify infringing entities.Document investigative actions thoroughly in case files.Present comprehensive investigative reports to management, legal teams, and external stakeholders.Familiarity with law enforcement procedures to support criminal referrals.Maintain liaison with law enforcement, government,
and private sector organizations.Stay updated on content protection developments and manage enforcement actions.Guide and support junior investigators.Collaborate regularly with MPA attorneys.Proactively identify and analyze recent targets.Perform other tasks as assigned.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.5+ years of investigative or analytical experience.Experience with online investigations, attribution, and OSINT techniques.Knowledge of internet infrastructure, including ISPs, domain names, WHOIS, IP addresses, and governance.Proficiency with investigative tools like WHOIS, DNS lookups, traceroute, and packet analysis.Strong communication skills across all levels.Ability to work creatively and efficiently amidst shifting priorities.High ethical standards and ability to handle confidential information.Experience building cross-departmental relationships and drafting reports.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications10+ years of investigative or analytical experience.Advanced degrees or professional certifications.Understanding of website architecture and source code.Knowledge of mobile app operations.Experience with cross-border investigations.Expertise in online content distribution methods and computer crimes statutes.Additional DetailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob functions include: Other, Information Technology, ManagementIndustries: Movies, Videos, and SoundReferrals can improve your chances of interview success.
