The OCDSB aims to address unequal opportunity experienced by Indigenous communities. Candidates should possess an M.S.W. along with two years of relevant experience, and must approach their work through an anti-oppressive lens. Your lived experience will be instrumental in guiding Indigenous students toward educational achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Counsel Indigenous students facing social and emotional challenges
• Conduct interviews and home visits to assess needs
• Create and implement anti-bullying and social skills curriculum
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote positive school environments
• Prepare and present reports on student progress
Requirements:
• M.S.W. or related master's degree
• Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers
• Two years of experience in social work
• Familiarity with child development theories
• Access to personal vehicle or public transport
Facilitate positive change and contribute to a supportive educational experience for Indigenous students at OCDSB.
