Our clinic provides low-risk prenatal and postnatal care, labour and delivery support, and newborn care until babies are approximately 6–8 weeks of age. During this time, we act as the patient’s family physician until discharge back to their regular family doctor.Our team currently includes:7 regular physicians and 3 locum physicians1 nurse providing weekly lactation consultations1 postpartum care midwife working twice weekly5 Medical Office Assistants (3 full-time, 2 part-time)Physicians typically work 1–2 days per week, with 2–3 physicians in the clinic daily. Average patient volume is approximately 80–120 patients per day.Position SummaryThe Medical Office Assistant (MOA) plays a key role in supporting physicians, clinical staff, and patients in a fast-paced maternity and family practice environment. MOAs work as part of a close-knit team, providing front- and back-office administrative support to ensure efficient clinic operations and a positive patient experience.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet and assist patients in a professional, friendly,



and compassionate mannerManage high-volume phone lines, including appointment booking, patient inquiries, and message handlingRegister patients, update demographics, and maintain accurate electronic medical recordsCoordinate appointments, referrals, and follow-upsSupport physicians and clinical staff with daily administrative tasksHandle billing, scanning, filing, and general clerical duties as requiredWork collaboratively with other MOAs, nurses, midwives, and physiciansOpen or close the clinic as scheduled (working alone for no more than one hour)Work ScheduleHours:8-hour shifts, Monday to FridayShift times:Between 7:00 a.M. and 5:00 p.M., depending on assigned shiftAll MOAs work as part of a team; no one works alone except during brief opening or closing periodsQualifications & ExperienceRequired:Previous experience in a busy medical or office environmentComfortable managing a high volume of phone callsStrong organizational and multitasking skillsAbility to work well in a close, team-based environmentPreferred:MOA training or certificationExperience in family practice, maternity, or women’s health settingsSkills & AttributesStrong work ethic and professional demeanorWillingness to work various positions and shifts as neededProven ability to multitask and take initiativeExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quicklyFriendly, cheerful, and approachable personalityAbility to work respectfully with colleagues and patients from diverse cultural and ethnic backgroundsIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate is a reliable team player who thrives in a fast-paced clinic, is confident on the phone, enjoys working closely with others, and takes pride in providing high-quality patient service.Seniority levelAssociateEmployment typeContractJob functionAdministrative and Customer ServiceIndustriesHospitals and Health Care#J-18808-Ljbffr
