This is a high-impact executive role for a strategic, detail-driven finance leader who thrives on scaling fast-growing companies, building systems, and translating numbers into smart decisions.You will oversee all financial strategy, planning, reporting, compliance, and forecasting across the company. You will partner directly with the CEO and COO to ensure Brodie’s growth is sustainable, profitable, and future-proofed.Your mission: build a world-class financial infrastructure that supports Brodie League’s expansion, protects the business, and fuels long-term success.CORE RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic Financial LeadershipOwn Brodie League’s full financial strategy and long-term financial roadmapTranslate company goals into forecasts, budgets, and investment plansProvide financial insights to guide major decisions around expansion, hiring, pricing,
and partnershipsBuild modeling frameworks to stress-test scenarios and support executive planningLead budgeting for all departments and locationsTrack performance against targets and provide actionable insightsBuild season-over-season revenue, margin, and cost modelsAnalyze profitability by location, product line, and initiativeAccounting, Controls & ComplianceOversee all accounting processes, monthly closes, and financial reportingEnsure compliance with Canadian and U.S. tax regulationsBuild and enforce internal controls that safeguard company assetsManage audits, filings, and legal financial requirementsOwn company-wide cash flow management, ensuring financial stabilityIdentify risks early and build plans to mitigate themManage capital needs from financing to strategic planningMaintain strong relationships with banks, advisors, and financial partnersLeadership & Team DevelopmentBuild and lead Brodie’s finance teamMentor future financial leaders and own performance management within the departmentWork cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, Tech, and HREnsure financial literacy across the leadership team through explicit communication and trainingREQUIREMENTS7+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership rolesProven success scaling financial systems in a high-growth or multi-location businessDeep experience with FP&A;, accounting standards,
and financial modelingStrong understanding of cash flow, forecasting, and risk managementExceptional communication skills able to translate complexity into clarityCPA or CFA designation is preferred5 days in office at our Toronto HQ - Brodie has thrived due to a culture of collaboration and teamwork in officeCompensation DisclosureThe expected annual compensation range for this role is between $150,000 and $200,000 CAD. Compensation is based on skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and business needs.
