Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Accountant with strong manufacturing experience and mandatory SAP expertise to one of our clients in Collingwood, ON. This role will support plant operations and finance leadership through cost analysis, inventory oversight, and standard costing activities.Must-Have RequirementsManufacturing cost accounting experienceHands‑on SAP experienceStrong Excel capabilityAdvantagesBase salary: $95,000 - $110,000Competitive benefits packagePension plan with company contributionStable organization with long‑term growth opportunitiesResponsibilitiesMaintain and administer cost accounting systemsPrepare detailed cost analysis including:Product costingProduction variancesLabour and spending analysisAnalyze manufacturing KPI variances versus standardAssist with development of annual budgets and forecasts (focus on standard costing)Support month‑end close, including:Costing module activities in SAPJournal entriesG/L reconciliationsPerform inventory reporting and analysis (including slow‑moving inventory review)Provide financial support for cost reduction initiatives and system improvement projectsInteract closely with plant personnel to understand product costs and operational driversServe as backup for other Canadian accounting staffAssist Controller in developing and monitoring internal control procedures (GAAP & SOX awareness)Provide administrative support as requiredSupport both Collingwood and Whitby plant operationsQualificationsUniversity Degree or College Diploma in Finance or Accounting5+ years of skilled accounting experience within a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of:Cost absorptionStandard costingInventory accountingMandatory SAP experienceExperience with ERP / MRP systemsAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data mining,
