Join the YMCA's Wagner Green site as a Youth Support Worker. Help youth navigate challenges and develop essential life skills in a supportive environment.
The YMCA is seeking a dedicated individual for a full-time, twelve-month contract role. Youth Workers will assist residents by providing supportive counseling, crisis intervention, and skill development opportunities. Your role will emphasize safety, respect, and collaboration, as you connect them with vital resources and assist them through personal challenges to achieve stability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate intake and orientation of new participants
• Monitor shelter routines and community support
• Deliver crisis intervention and counseling services
• Ensure compliance with safety and documentation procedures
• Engage in program development for resident support
Requirements:
• Degree/diploma in social work or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience with youth
• Valid First Aid/CPR training required
• Robust communication skills and organizational ability
• Knowledge of housing systems and community resources
