PositionJourneyman Automotive Technician – London Kia, London, ON (Full-Time, Immediate Hire). Salary: $37.00 to $41.00 hourly plus production bonus.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, test, and repair vehicle systems to ensure safety and functionality.Perform preventative maintenance and inspect critical vehicle components such as brakes, fuel systems, and engines.Repair or replace parts as needed and mentor apprentices.Maintain a safe and efficient work environment.Perform vehicle repairs and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, following dealership and OEM standards.Communicate with Parts and Service Advisors regularly to manage production/repairs, cycle times, and customer communication.Conduct multi‑point inspections and make appropriate recommendations for repairs, ensuring safety and reliability before returning vehicles to customers.Document all work performed on the vehicle by creating a narrative in the associated repair order, following OEM standards and ensuring warranty payment from the manufacturer.Maintain an inventory of common automotive technician tools not normally inventoried by the Service department.Stay current with factory technical bulletins and participate in factory‑sponsored training classes as required.Provide an exceptional repair experience to drive customer loyalty and department revenue.QualificationsStrong knowledge of various makes and models.A provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate, completed or in process.Red Seal Certification considered an asset.Completion of a related post‑secondary program and/or training courses.Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.Ability to work individually and as part of a team.High level of integrity and work ethic.Valid driver’s license and a safe driving history.BenefitsCompetitive compensation and advantages package.Employee vehicle purchase & service plans.Employee and family assistance programs.Company‑wide appreciation events and contests throughout the calendar year.Professional development and opportunities to grow your career.EEO StatementOur commitment extends to reaching out to individuals from various backgrounds and identities.
