BC Place is a multi-purpose stadium in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Located at the north side of False Creek, it is owned and operated by the BC Pavilion Corporation, a Crown corporation of the province. Home to BC Lions, Vancouver White Caps, Concerts and Live events, the facility hosts welcomes hundreds of thousands of fans each year, while generating significant economic activity for the Province.Essential Responsibilities :overseeing different areas during an eventcommunicating any issues that may arise with the managersenforcing policies and procedures of Sodexo Live!attending all briefings before every shiftawareness of any menu changesgood working knowledge of proper food handling proceduresalcohol service including last call, stopping and refusing service,
checking all I.Dproviding a high level of service to guestsunderstanding of different food and beverages options that Centerplate offersmaintaining a positive and helpful demeanour in all staff interactions and guest interactionsresolving issues that may arise with a customer in a diplomatic way in a timely mannerMonitoring guests alcohol levels to ensure the safety of each individualhelping maintain adequate stock levels throughout the eventcollecting all paper work at the end of each eventhave valuable working knowledge of P.O.S systems and the ability to troubleshoot when necessaryensuring all staff duties are finished and staff have signed out at the correct time.dealing with any issues that may arise with guest or staffchecking assigned areas at the end of the event to ensure everything is clean and properly stored and alcohol is locked and securedaccurately counting inventory and log transfers to other areasIntroduction of yourself to hosts or organizer to ensure their needs are being metDocumenting any incidents or concerns that may arise during a the shiftunderstanding par levels and product rotation to prevent product spoilageability to maintain inventory to ensure product doesn't run out or overstockgiving directions to the staff in an assigned areaperforming daily administration duties in accordance with assigned functionQualifications/Skills :Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisor roleMust have a minimum of 3 years' experience of serving experienceMust have Serving it RightMust have extensive knowledge of winesMust Successfully complete in-house training programMust have the ability to lead assigned portion of staff in completion of dutiesMust have in depth knowledge of F&B; preparation and presentationMust have good working knowledge of level 3 layoutMust be able to work with limited supervision Must be able to carry large banquet traysMust be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of timeMust have strong knowledge of banquet set up and operationsMust have excellent communication skills both written and oralMust have excellent team leadership skillsMust be able to unload palletsOther Requirements :Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift upto 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.Thank you for expressing interest in employment with Sodexo Live!.
