Join our team as a Meal Preparation and Cleaning Assistant, where you'll support food distribution and maintain cleanliness in the Correctional Center. You'll engage daily in food prep, cleaning, and cash register operations.
In this role, you'll handle diverse tasks such as washing and cutting fruits and vegetables, preparing meals, and ensuring cleanliness throughout the facility. As a General Help/Cashier, you'll interact with peers while ensuring food safety and quality standards. Your organizational skills will be essential in managing meal trays and maintaining storage areas.
Key Responsibilities:
• Wash, peel, and cut fruits and vegetables
• Prepare and cook meals as planned
• Measure and store ingredients correctly
• Load and deliver meal carts to service pods
• Perform general cleaning duties and maintain order
Requirements:
• Grade 12 or equivalent education
• Clean criminal record required
• Food Protected level 1 certificate necessary
• Effective communication skills in English
• Physical ability to perform job tasks
