The successful candidate will document product architecture, address gaps, and assist in the evolution of the product into a scalable platform.



They will work closely with:Wind and structural motion expertsElevator system subject matter expertsExternal manufacturing partnersInternal product leadershipIn-the-field installersThis is ahands-on roleresponsible for both maintaining the current systems RWDI sells and building the next generation of our motion management products.Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Architecture Ownership: assist in documenting the full system architecture, ensure design supports manufacturing approach and help refine product behaviourEmbedded Software Ownership: Own and maintain the embedded software, operating systems, network security and communication systemsEngage in Future Product Development: support development of new system capabilitiesSkills, Knowledge & ExpertiseEducation & ExperienceBachelor's or master's degree in one of the following: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics or another related discipline5+ years' experience in at least one of the following:Embedded systems engineeringIndustrial control systemsRobotics or mechatronics systemsIndustrial IoT platformsExperience withfull system integrationis strongly preferred.Technical SkillsEmbedded Systems: Beckhoff/TwinCAT, Linux-based embedded systems, industrial PC configuration, system services and process management, networking and communications protocolsSoftware: Experience with Python.
